Earlier today, residents and team members onsite were informed that the Board of Rockpool Residential Aged Care has accepted an offer from Regis Aged Care to enter into a binding agreement for the acquisition of Rockpool Morayfield, Carseldine, Pelican Waters, and Songbird Oxley.
The sale will not impact frontline roles, including nurses, carers, and support team members. However, a small number of Corporate roles will be affected.
The sale will not change residents’ living arrangements.
Regis is one of Australia’s largest aged care providers and currently operates 68 aged care homes across Australia.
CEO Melissa Argent said Rockpool and Regis share many common values, including the shared vision to change how aged care is offered in Australia.
“I am confident Regis will continue to provide ongoing high levels of care and support for all Rockpool team members, residents, and families,” Ms Argent said.
“The sale is expected to be completed on 1 September 2025, with Rockpool and Regis working closely together to ensure a seamless transition of services.
“Despite the challenges our sector has faced over the past few years, Rockpool has continued to construct and operate stunning, state-of-the-art homes. The sale is a new benchmark for the sector and highlights the value of what Rockpool has created over the past seven years.
“Construction will continue at Rockpool Northshore Hamilton and commence shortly at Rockpool Kedron.
“Rockpool is committed to making a long-term, meaningful impact throughout South East Queensland. This sale will allow Rockpool to focus its efforts on building even more beautiful, aged care homes.”
